| suffering is deeper. for example i know that if i can go to that nightwish' gig, i'll be super happy for about month or 2. but if i cannot go there, i'll be depressed the whole winter... actually i kind of didn't get what you're asking?... |

Depends of the situation.. but you definitelly need both to be happy. There's no white without black and the other way round. In that terms a light depression can sometimes feel "nice". Still you shouldn't let yourself fall too deep too often.
For me happiness goes deeper.. for me it's easier to get happy about something than to fall into a depression.. some people call me "euphoric" because of it.. but as long as small things can make me happy and happiness goes deeper than depression (long termed), living makes sense for me. _________________

Umm, I believe sufferingtakes the first place.. When U R happy, U can miss some things aroung, when suffering, U notice all YR feelings becomming more sharp. Maybe, I've never known happiness before, I mean real happiness (not like some gig or stuff like that), that's why I've just come up with such thoughts
Any objections? |

As we "speak", I am both happy and miserable, so suffering has to be the "deepest" one, for me. Happiness cannot rip your heart out and eat it raw _________________ Does true love even exist?

Hey everyone!how you doing?
Well, hard question ... suffering can't be compared to happiness imo,as happiness/love
but suffering/pain lasts longer /cuts deeper than happiness.
hm...its a difficult question. _________________ "Look, a three-headed monkey!" |

happiness is fleeting - and when you're happy, you don't really realize you're happy, until someone takes it away and you're miserable again. then you realize too late what you had was the best it was going to get.
therefore, i guess happiness is directly related to the amount of misery you've experienced. which is depressing.
