...just to balance out the other topic.
for me, it's a toss-up - either bif naked (i really dislike canadian punk music) or a perfect circle last month. i actually feel asleep at a perfect circle, if that's any indication of how bad it was. _________________ mmm...cruelty |

I usually go to gigs which i am sure to like the bands....so is not easy to dissappoint me,but surely i found 69 Eyes and Amorphis a bit boring on stage .....but i like self-pain so i guess that i will see those bands again

I've seen both Amorphis and The 69 Eyes live and i liked it))) though some people say, that The 69 Eyes always play very well, but their concerts are too much alike (my friend said that "only Jyrki's t-shirts are different" *g*).... so maybe that's the reason you didn't like them... but Amorphis are really awesome live! _________________ Somebody hurts you so you're hurting me... |

the worst concert i've seen - maybe him this year ... ville was drunken, he smoked way to much, he was really lame - just moved when he needed a cigarette or a beer ... the others were more active ... but at least the sound was good ... |

i've seen a TON of HIM live videos, and i'm not particularly impressed. the only good ones i've ever seen came from the Rock Am Ring show a couple years ago. the performances on the dvds were pretty lame, too. i'd really like to see HIM live, but that doesn't bode well from what i've seen so far...
oh, another crappy show - dido. yuck! the openers were way better. _________________ mmm...cruelty |

| The worst ones were Fear Factory (both times) and Machine Head. I had to fight not to fall asleep, really. |

I agree with you. I've seen a lot of concerts during the last 3 years, but the HIM concert in Magdeburg was the worst I've ever seen. I thikn, the people who have seen them live this year, know what I mean. _________________ You know there is sorrow

well, have seen them live in HH - the second gig - and they really played a good show. I don't know, maybe it was the only one during the tour but the audience was great, a mix of 'normalos', gothic-like styled people and rockers, quite a lot of men and my parents weren't the only older people I met there... And Ville really was in a good mood, laughing, smoking and talking all the time... I can't complain! _________________ dreams are shattered

Last year on the Highfield Festival, for example, they played a really good show. Ville was in a big talking mood and did joke with the fans. That was quiet a nice gig. I hope it'll come better times for this band. _________________ You know there is sorrow

That's the problem of the award shows in gereral. Don't blame the band for that
I've seen HIM for about 11 times and some performances were really shitty and other great. The best one was at the Gurten Festival in 2001 (?). I suppose that HIM's gigs depend a lot of Ville's mood and condition. The gigs they played during the tours were mostly less good, especially when they were taking place during the second half of the tour. But actually that's also the reason why I don't want to pay anymore to see them. I mean I don't want to pay those high prices and then get a shitty show for that just because Ville has a bad hair day or something. The tickets for the last gig they did here in Switzerland were about 38Euro.. I payed that much to see Marilyn Manson last year and MM have got a show (means: they're traveling with a loads of stuff and arrangements for the stage, loads of people and they have a bit a longer way to get to Europe with all that) and you can be sure to get to see a good gig.
But in general it seems like some bands and organizators around here went completelly nutts! The tickets for Metallica here are 60 Euro (!!!). I wonder who pays that much.... _________________
